I have devoted myself to the study of painting and art history since retiring from the practice of architecture in May of 2011. I have particular interest in both oil and watercolor techniques. For me this is a return to my first love.
My undergraduate degree was in Graphic Design. Later I obtained a Master’s degree in Architecture. My architectural experience was always tied to the conceptual and graphic presentation aspects of architectural practice. And, I was fortunate to experience the traditional hand methods of sketching and drafting. These abilities are all but lost in the high tech world of digital design.
I have always drawn and sketched. I consider it a huge blessing that I can now devote the majority of my time to painting.
My intention with this blog is to share and hopefully sell my art. I may never be a “Master” but I am certainly enjoying the adventure.
